FORESTRY NURSERY MANAGER

A position has become available for a Forestry Nursery Manager to be involved in a large scale plantation forest development company.

The Forestry Nursery Manager will be responsible

In the planning and distribution of planting material to contractors
In assisting contractors managing satellite holding nurseries.
In ensuring the semi-automated containerised nursery is maintained and functioning correctly.

For this position you need to have:

Experience in the management of large-scale containerised forestry nurseries.
Experience in the propagation of clone material and the management of a mother plant area.
A proven track record as a successful team leader.
An ability to improve operational efficiencies.
At least 10 years’ experience at a senior operational level with a major forestry company.
A BSc (Forestry) or Diploma in Forestry is expected, but candidates with extensive practical experience will also be considered.

The position is at Samarakan Nursery, Bintulu, Sarawak.

The successful candidate must be a holder of a valid driving licence.
